Nancy Adimora is an award-winning publishing consultant, working at the intersection of creativity and culture.

Most recently, she worked at HarperCollins Publishers as the Head of Talent & Audience Development, where she sat on the publishing board and was responsible for deepening engagement with writers and readers from underrepresented communities. During her time at HarperCollins, Nancy co-edited a landmark collection of personal essays from award-winning authors and pitched ideas for books that went on to become instant Sunday Times Bestsellers. In 2020, she was named a Bookseller Rising Star, and the following year she was listed as one of the 150 most influential people in UK publishing. Nancy is also the founder of AFREADA, a popular African literary magazine.

In 2022, she transitioned into consulting to further pursue her vision of democratising storytelling. She co-curated the UK’s largest celebration of contemporary African literature in partnership with the British Library, she served on the editorial board of Bloomsbury Publishing’s latest imprint, and she’s also led storytelling projects with companies including Meta, Twitter, and Spotify. Her work has been featured in The Guardian, the BBC, HuffPost, and Harper’s Bazaar, and she recently delivered a keynote on the transformative potential of storytelling at Cambridge University. 

Before moving into publishing, Nancy started her career with the African Private Equity and Venture Capital Association. She holds an MSc in Leadership and Development from King's College London, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Queen Mary, University of London.
